class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Sterinova was created in 2012<\/strong> to meet the specific needs of hospitals for ready-to-use products. Some of these ready-to-use products already existed on the market, but most of them are compounded by hospitals or external suppliers.<\/p><p>These compounded drugs often have reduced stability and must be, for the most, refrigerated. The logistic of managing these compounded preparations is generally complex and product losses are common as they expire before being used. Sterinova intends to develop a wide range of products, which will offer solutions to these problems.<\/p><p>The idea behind Sterinova comes from Gent\u00e8s &amp; Bolduc Pharmacists, Canada\u2019s largest pharmacy entirely dedicated to the preparation of compounded drugs. Gent\u00e8s &amp; Bolduc Pharmacists is composed of a team of more than 100 people who are working to provide high quality products and exceptional service.<\/p><p><strong>Acquisition in 2017<br \/><\/strong>German company, B. Braun Melsungen AG, acquired majority stake in Sterinova in December 2017. The addition of the manufacturing activities of Sterinova gives a greater capacity to manufacture and develop the product portfolio in the pharmaceutical market of sterile and ready-to-use products.<\/p><p>Sterinova continues to operate as a manufacturer within the B. Braun Global product network, but continues to market its brand\u2019s ready-to-use products locally in cooperation with the Canadian division of B. Braun.<\/p><p><strong>Finale acquisition in 2021<\/strong><\/p><p>B. Braun Melsungen AG announced in September 2021 the acquisition of the minority interest of the cofounders Jean-Philippe Gent\u00e8s and Bertrand Bolduc in Sterinova Inc. Sterinova will continue to operate as a distinct subsidiary of B.
